Site Merge

Overview

The Site Merge utility is used to combine multiple single site systems into one Enterprise system. 

The Site Merge utility would be used in cases where another existing database is now being utilized by a new company or combining multiple single sites into a single multi-site database.

The Enterprise Version of the Access It! Universal.NET software is required.
ENGAGE sites are not merged and are required to be manually rebuilt.

Access It! Universal.NET Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal.NET dongle.

  • Sites - 1/x
    x must be greater than 1 indicating an Enterprise system.

Updating Database

Prior to the Site Merge, ensure that each single site system is on the same version as the Enterprise system.

  1. Launch Database Configuration Utility (Start | All Programs | Access It! Universal.NET | Database Configuration Utility)
  2. Click OK
  3. Upon login to the Database Configuration Utility, the database will update accordingly.

Site Merge

  1. Launch Database Configuration Utility (Start | All Programs | Access It! Universal.NET | Database Configuration Utility)
  2. Click OK
  3. Click Site Merge
  4. Select SQL Server where the separate AIUniversal database is stored
  5. Enter the SQL Server Authentication
  6. Select the database
  7. Click Next
  8. Select the Site that is to be merged
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Finish
  11. Restart Access It! Universal.NET Service
    Upon Service Startup, the server name will update accordingly.
