Overview

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a protocol used by the optional Data Exchange Utility option within Access It! Universal.NET which allows for the importing of data from a Microsoft Active Directory source.
The end user's IT department should be consulted when building the LDAP string.

Access It! v 5.5
All Domain Data

The following is an example of how to import all data from a sample sub-domain named Corp within the domain Contoso.

LDAP://DC=CORP,DC=CONTOSO,DC=COM

Organizational Unit
The following is an example of how to import only the organizational unit (OU) of Sales users from a sample sub-domain named Corp in the domain Contoso. Several OUs may be evaluated at the same time.

LDAP://OU=SALES,DC=CORP,DC=CONTOSO,DC=COM

When the Data Exchange package is executed, it will evaluate every record within Active Directory but will only process the records belonging to the specified OU(s).
Records which have been moved out of the specified OU(s) will no longer be processed by the Data Exchange Utility.

LDAP strings must be built using all capitalized characters.
