ZKAccess Biometric Integration

Overview
Before you begin ensure you have the following:

  • Access It! Universal.NET 5.1 (fingerprint)
  • Access It! Universal.NET 5.2 (fingerprint and face recognition)
  • ZKBioPAC integration 2.0.1.6 or higher

Access It! Universal.NET Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal dongle and is a system wide license.

  • Biometric Support - Yes

Installing ZKBioPack (Security)

  1. Run setup.exe
  2. Click OK
  3. Click Next
  4. Agree to terms and select Next
  5. Select installation directory and click Next
  6. Click Next
  7. Select Configure Database
  8. In the Select Type field select RS2
  9. In the Host Address field enter (SERVER)\AIUNIVERSAL
  10. Enter Database account User Name and Password
  11. In the Integrated Database field enter AIUNIVERSAL
  12. In the ZKBioPack Database field enter ZKAccess
  13. Click Test connection
  14. Click Post
  15. Click Next
  16. At the initialize Database promt click Yes
  17. Select a path to store backups and click Next
  18. Click Install
  19. Click Next
  20. Click Install
  21. At the Fingerprint Reader Driver setup click Finish
  22. Reboot the computer

Installing ZKBioPack

  1. Run setup.exe (Environment test will run)
  2. Click Yes
  3. Click Next
  4. Agree to terms and select Next
  5. Enter a valid port (default is 8088) and select Next
  6. Select installation directory and click Next
  7. Select database and click Next
  8. Select a path to store backups and click Next
  9. Click Install
  10. Reboot the computer

Adding a ZKAccess Fingerprint Reader

   From the ZKAccess Fingerprint device (Main menu):

  1. Select COMM
  2. Select Ethernet
  3. Enter a valid static IP Address/Subnet Mask/Default Gateway and DNS (if applicable) or enable DHCP
  4. Select ADMS
  5. Enter the Access It! Universal.NET Server's IP address in the Server Address field
  6. Enter the server port that was entered during the BioPack setup (default is 8088)

   Open the BioPack software:

  1. In a browser, navigate to 127.0.0.1:8088
  2. Login with Username admin and password admin
  3. Click on Access
  4. Click Search Device
  5. Click Search 
  6. Click Add to the right of the device found
  7. Assign a friendly name 
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Close 

Configuring Access It! Universal for ZKBioPAC Finger

  1. Navigate to Workstations (System | Workstations)
  2. Edit the ZKAccess enrollment workstation
  3. Select the Encode/Enroll tab (To see the Encode/Enroll tab it may be required to scroll to the right using the right of the tabs)
  4. Provide a friendly name for the Device name
    This name will be used in the Commands section for Cards to enroll the ZKAccess template.
  5. Select ZKAccess fingerprint in the Device type dropdown
  6. Select the ... button
  7. Browse to the ZKAccess directory
    The ZKAccess directory is most commonly located at C:\ZKTeco\ZKBioPAC.
  8. Select the Access.exe
  9. Click Open
  10. Click OK
  11. Click Save on the Edit Workstation window
  12. Close Access It! Universal.NET
  13. Launch Access It! Universal.NET

Configuring Access It! Universal for ZKBioPAC Face

  1. Navigate to Workstations (System | Workstations)
  2. Edit the ZKAccess enrollment workstation

Enrolling Templates

  1. Navigate to Cardholders
  2. Search for a cardholder to enroll
  3. Select a card record
  4. From the commands ribbon, select the ZKAccess enrollment command
