Updating SCP Network Settings Using the Panel Utility

Overview

Beginning with the Panel Utility distributed with 9.2.0 of Access It!, the Panel Utility may be used to update the Network and Host Comm settings of MP-02, EP and LP-series boards.

Disable the Channel within Access It!

  1. Launch Access It!
  2. Navigate to Hardware | Channels in the Navigation pane on the left hand side of the screen
  3. Edit the Channel associated with the SCP to be updated
  4. Uncheck Channel Enabled
  5. Click Save

Updating SCP Network Configuration

  1. Navigate to and launch the Panel Utility (Start | All Programs | Access It! | Client Utilities | Panel Utility)
  2. Click Attach, and enter the proper Panel Type, Comm Type, Address, IP Address, and TCP Port
  3. If the panel is properly connected, there will be a green Online in the lower right hand corner
  4. Once connected, select Comm Settings from the ribbon
  5. Adjust Network and Host Comm tabs, as needed
  6. Click Apply Settings, Reboot

Upon clicking Apply Settings, Reboot, the SCP will reboot with the network settings configured in Step 5. Please allow 60 seconds for the board to reboot. Once the board has rebooted, the SCP can be powered down and dipswitches can be returned to their normal position (if applicable).

Enable the Channel with Access It!

  1. Launch Access It! Universal
  2. Navigate to Hardware | SCPs in the Navigation pane on the left hand side of the screen
  3. Edit the SCP whose network configuration has been updated
  4. Navigate to the Comm tab, and update IP Address and Port Number fields accordingly
  5. Click Save
  6. Navigate to Hardware | Channels in the Navigation pane on the left hand side of the screen
  7. Edit the Channel associated with the SCP that has been updated
  8. Check Channel Enabled
  9. Click Save
